This 1961 Chevrolet pickup, had a large amount of surface rust, and several places of rust out in the body, bed and front fenders. I left the cab on the chassis but that didn’t get in the way of blasting and painting the frame. The engine was satisfactory for the owner, so I resealed it and detailed it before putting it back in the frame after the cab and firewall were painted. The interior was painted and a new seat cover and carpet were added. A refinish of the bed wood and new bed slats set off the tail end of the truck. The paint was a two toned White over Saddle Tan acrylic enamel finish. Then sanded and buffed to a high gloss. This one took 5 weeks to complete, was finished in 1996. The labor costs on this was about $5,000. This job led to several more restorations from the same area, including the 1939 Packard.
